New factory building near completion
The new hall on our factory premises in Erfurt, which is scheduled for completion in 2021, is a further step towards increasing and multiplying our order volume. The new hall with an area of approx. 500 sqm enables us to expand the construction of prototypes and sample vehicles and to develop them 100% shielded from the other vehicle constructions. The workshop compartments will be equipped with lifting platforms and pits as well as other equipment to enable proper work in a modern working environment. Of particular interest will be the new brake test stand and the extra compartment for TÜV inspections and appraisals. They are intended to enable the acceptance of the vehicle directly on site and thus ensure a more efficient project workflow.
The size of the new hall compartments and test benches, larger vehicle pits, measuring equipment and laboratory technology now allow us to work on vehicles of all sizes. Although we were already able to convert vehicles weighing up to 7.5 tonnes in the previous hall, in future commercial and public transport vehicles weighing up to 40 tonnes will be possible.
For reasons of space, series-production vehicles that have already been developed will also be fully assembled and delivered to the customer.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the associated delays in the construction project, we are in a positive mood and look forward to being able to put the object and the new measuring facilities into operation shortly.
